About Me

Hi, I’m Valli — the heart, hands, and voice behind The Midwest Farmer’s Wife.

I’m a 36-year-old farmer’s wife, mama to five beautiful kids (with baby number six on the way!), and a woman who knows the meaning of both chaos and contentment. Our kids range from 16 down to 2, which means life is always busy, loud, and full of surprises.

I currently own a residential cleaning business, which has been a blessing, but I’m ready to trade in the mop bucket for more time at home, doing the things I love most: caring for my family, working on our farm, and sharing stories, tips, and ideas with you here.

Life out here in the Midwest is a beautiful mix of early mornings, muddy boots, and family dinners around the table — though I’ll be honest, my husband does most of the cooking because he’s convinced he’s the best cook in the world. (And to be fair… he’s not entirely wrong.)

This blog is my way of inviting you into our world — sharing the recipes we love, the homemaking hacks that keep me (somewhat) sane, the joys and struggles of raising a big family, and little glimpses of farm life in between.

You’ll also find my favorite Amazon picks sprinkled throughout — practical tools, cozy home touches, and kitchen gadgets I actually use — because if something makes life easier, I’m all for it.

So, whether you’re here for a new dinner idea, a peek into Midwest farm living, or just a place to feel connected with someone in the same season of life, you’re in the right spot. I’m so glad you’re here.

Welcome to the family.
